At the Little Children Schoolhouse, our goal is to act as a caring extension of your child's home and family life. We strive to create an environment that nurtures the whole child. The development of a sense of connection with others is an important part of this mission. As such, we believe the concepts of community service and compassion are a fitting addition to our program.

Our Program

Little Children Schoolhouse offers year-round, full-day programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and pre-K children (click here for more information on our preschool and pre-K program and facilities).  All programs run from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.  So that we can ensure staff is on hand to provide care, parents are asked to drop off students no earlier than 7:00 am and to pick up students prior to the school's closing at 6:00 pm.

Lunch is not provided by the school, but children are lovingly assisted with their food from home. (Please note that Little Children Schoolhouse is a nut-product-free center.)

Exact schedules are not made publically available for security reasons, but programs include Circle Time, playground time (weather permitting), weekly Yoga classes, music teacher, reading, special projects, and, of course, time for eating, napping and changing those diapers!

Our child-centered environment promotes growth in all areas of development : social, emotional, cognitive and physical.  Our developmentally-appropriate curriculum helps to develop each child's self-esteem.

We encourage self-help skills and support our children's natural curiosity to explore and experiment.  Our program fosters respect and teaches our children to appreciate the cultural diversity in our center.  We will celebrate customs and rituals that link our diverse cultures together with other families.

Little Children Schoolhouse has been a home away from home for both my children. We fell in love inmediately with Gladys and Lissy and have been involved with the school for several years now. The teachers and director have created a loving and nurturing environment where children are given quality care and instruction. I have been very impressed with the personal care my children receive. They LOVE going to school. I am always greeted at the end of the day with a smile and story about somenthing my child did that day. Mostly, I appreciate the variety of interesting activities (art & craft, songs, books, yoga, outdoor exploration) the teachers plan throughout each day. I know my children have been involved in interesting and age appropriate activities while away form home.
